Day of the Dead in Mexico. Dzień Zmarłych w Meksyku.
One of the traditions that I always wanted to live in Mexico, was the famous Day of the Dead “Día de Los Muertos”. It is a unique holiday that fascinates foreigners, yet seems commonplace to Mexican families who see this festivity is a time to celebrate since it is a window of opportunity where they can reunite with their deceased loved ones.
On the 1st of November, twenty-four hours are dedicated to deceased children and referred to as All Saint's Day. Another twenty-four hours on November 2nd are devoted to deceased adults. This day is known as All Soul's Day. On November 1, don't forget to take sweets with you to give to children at the cemetery.
It is believed that the souls of the non-living return to Earth for a visit within that short period. Día de Los Muertos is interpreted as a joyful celebration, viewed more like a family reunion.
In November 2018 I have experienced Día de Los Muertos in Magic Town of Pátzcuaro famous for the movie Coco.

Jedną z tradycji, którą zawsze chciałam przeżyć w Meksyku, jest słynny Dzień Zmarłych
„Día de Los Muertos”. Jest to wyjątkowe, fascynujące święto, w trakcie którego meksykańskie rodziny, łącza się ze swoimi zmarłymi bliskimi.
1 listopada -dwadzieścia cztery godziny poświęcone są zmarłym dzieciom i określane jako Dzień Wszystkich Świętych. Kolejne dwadzieścia cztery godziny-2 listopada poświęcone są zmarłym dorosłym. Ten dzień jest znany jako Dzień Duszy. 1 listopada nie zapomnij zabrać ze sobą słodyczy aby rozdawać je dzieciom na cmentarzu
Uważa się, że w tym krótkim czasie dusze zmarłych wracają na Ziemię, by odwiedzić rodziny. Día de Los Muertos jest świętem radosnym, przypominającym zjazd rodzinny z jedną różnicą, iż w tych dniach wszyscy spotykają się na cmentarzach.
W Listopadzie 2018 roku miałam okazje spędzić Święto „Día de los Muertos” w Magicznym mieście Pátzcuaro słynnym z filmu Coco.
