If you're planning to visit Sydney, then you must see the Sydney Opera House, the Harbour Bridge, and Bondi Beach. But, the city has a lot more to offer. It is full of art, markets, street art, museums, botanical gardens, festivals, and shows. To experience the most out of the city you should plan your visit during the summer between December and February as the weather is much nicer and there are fewer people. Sydney is also an hour and a half from the Blue Mountains which is listed on the World Heritage Area list by UNESCO. Unfortunately, when I was there, there was a lot of rain and fog which made it impossible for us to see most of the area and the views, but the hikes were spectacular nevertheless. If you are there when it is raining, beware of rainforest leeches which are harmless and not painful at all, but just slimy. Wear high shoes and long pants.
Sydney is also recognized as the LGBTQ capital of the world and they celebrate their pride during the Mardi Gras weekend. There are young people, concerts, and music everywhere around the city. This year over 12,000 people from all over the world took part in the parade and the next day the streets were still covered in multi-colored glitter.

Jeśli macie w planach podróż do Sydney, to koniecznie powinniście zobaczyć Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge i Bondi Beach. Ale oczywiście to piękne, duże miasto oferuje dużo więcej atrakcji takich jak wystawy sztuki i graffiti, liczne muzea, ogrody botaniczne, festiwale muzyczne, pokazy mody i wiele innych. Każdy znajdzie tu coś dla siebie. Sydney najlepiej odwiedzić w lecie między grudniem a lutym, jest wówczas piękna pogoda i mało turystów.
Półtorej godziny jazdy samochodem od Sydney znajdują się Błękitne Góry, umieszczone na liście światowego dziedzictwa UNESCO. Niestety jak ja tam byłam, cały dzień padało i była mgła przez co widoczność była mocno ograniczona, ale i tak wspinaczki po górach były niesamowite. Uwaga, podczas deszczowych dni łatwo złapać pijawki, które nie są groźne ani bolesne, ale bardzo nieprzyjemne.
Syndey jest znane na calym swiecie jako stolica LGBTQ, wiec dla festiwalowiczów, bardzo polecam przyjazd w marcu na Mardi Gras weekend. W całym Sydney odbywają się koncerty muzyczne, wystawy sztuki, występy uliczne młodych ludzi, jest to wspaniały czas muzyki i zabawy. W tym roku ponad 12,000 osób z całego świata wzięło udział w organizowanej co roku paradzie równości, a następnego dnia ulice całego miasta pokryte były kolorowym brokatem. Niezapomniane przeżycie.
