Visit the Government Palace in Morelia.
After lunch, we went to see the Government Palace. This baroque-style building has two levels and three courtyards. Its frontal façade is one of the most beautiful in the city.
The building’s interior is decorated with colorful murals by the painter, Alfredo Zalce, (with help of Juan Torres Calderón) in which they portrayed several illustrations of the state’s history, as well as diverse passages of the Mexican Revolution.
Murals - wall paintings have been used to aid understanding for illiterate people. Depictions were painted on the walls of churches and or engraved into stone or wood outside the important buildings.
The Government Palace is a very interesting place to visit located just at the main square in Morelia.
Po obiedzie poszliśmy zobaczyć pałac rządowy. Ten barokowy budynek ma trzy dziedzińce i dwa piętra a jego frontowa fasada jest jedną z najpiękniejszych w mieście.
Wnętrze budynku zdobią kolorowe malowidła ścienne autorstwa malarza Alfredo Zalce (wykonane przy współudziale i pomocy Juana Torresa Calderona), przedstawiające kilka scen z historii państwa, a także różnorodne fragmenty rewolucji meksykańskiej.
Murals - malowidła ścienne były wykorzystywane do przekazywania informacji i uświadamiania niepiśmiennych ludzi. Obrazy były zazwyczaj malowane na ścianach kościołów lub wyryte w kamieniu lub drewnie na zewnątrz ważnych budynków.
Pałac Rządowy to bardzo interesujące miejsce do zwiedzenia, znajdujące się tuż przy głównym placu Moreli.
